How Pelican Hub collects, uses, and protects your data.

Last updated: June 11, 2026

Who We Are

Pelican Hub (hub.pelican.dev) is the official companion service for Pelican Panel, an open-source game server management panel. Pelican Hub provides community support tools, a plugin marketplace, donation management, and statistics that help improve Pelican Panel. It also operates the official Pelican bot inside the Pelican Discord server.

This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

Information We Collect

Your Account (Discord Sign-In)

Signing in to Pelican Hub is done exclusively through Discord. When you sign in, we receive and store your Discord user ID, username, email address, and avatar. We never see or store your Discord password.

Discord Server Data (Pelican Bot)

The Pelican bot operates only inside the official Pelican Discord server. Within that server it processes:

  • Member information — display names, avatars, and roles, used to display your identity on the Hub and to grant features tied to Discord roles (such as donor perks).
  • Support messages — messages posted in the designated support and ticket channels, used to relay support tickets between Discord and the Hub and to generate automated troubleshooting responses.
  • Community activity — aggregate statistics such as message counts, reactions, voice channel session durations, and game or streaming activity, used for community leaderboards and server health metrics. We store counts and durations, not your conversations.

Panel Connections

If you connect a Pelican Panel installation, we store the panel URL and the API token you provide, along with the statistics your panel voluntarily submits. This data is used to power Hub features for your panel and to help the Pelican team understand how the Panel is used in the real world.

Donations & Purchases

Payments are processed by Stripe. We store your subscription and donation status so we can grant donor benefits, but we never see or store your card details.

Content You Publish

Plugins, plugin versions, reviews, author profiles, and support tickets you create on the Hub are stored so we can provide those features. Plugin pages and reviews are publicly visible.

How We Use Your Data

  • Operating your account, the plugin marketplace, and the support ticket system.
  • Synchronizing Discord roles (such as Donor and Sponsor) with your donation status.
  • Displaying community leaderboards and statistics for the Pelican Discord server.
  • Recognizing supporters publicly, for example on the donor wall (using your Discord display name and avatar).
  • Improving Pelican Panel through aggregate, voluntary usage statistics.
  • Sending you notifications you have enabled, such as plugin review results via Discord direct message.

Automated Support & AI

To reduce wait times, messages posted in the designated community support channels may be sent to a third-party AI provider (such as Anthropic or OpenAI) to generate a troubleshooting response. Only the messages in the relevant support thread are processed, and they are used solely to generate that response.

Your messages are never used to train AI models — not by us, and not by our AI providers, whose API terms prohibit training on submitted data.

Sharing & Third Parties

We never sell your data. We share data only with the service providers needed to run Pelican Hub:

  • Discord — for sign-in, role synchronization, and bot features.
  • Stripe — for payment processing.
  • AI providers — for generating support responses, as described above.
  • Hosting providers — for running our infrastructure.

Retention, Deletion & Your Choices

  • Cached Discord member data (names, avatars, roles) expires automatically within hours to days.
  • You can delete your Pelican Hub account at any time from your profile settings, which removes your account data.
  • You can disconnect a panel at any time, which removes its stored API token.
  • To request removal of Discord activity statistics associated with your account, contact us using the methods below.

We use cookies only for essential purposes: keeping you signed in and protecting forms against cross-site request forgery. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Contact & Changes
